Questions parents ask

Straight answers to what parents actually ask. If your question is not here, call 7397375394.
How do the online classes work?
Classes are live with a teacher, not recordings. You sign in to your itshive dashboard and the Join button takes your child straight into their class, so there is no separate meeting link to pass around and nothing for you to install or subscribe to. We will confirm which video service a class uses when we arrange it.
Do I need to be there with my child?
You can join on behalf of a younger child from your own account, and we recommend an adult is nearby for younger learners. Older children can sign in themselves.
What happens if my child's internet drops mid-class?
They can rejoin the same class straight away and it will not cost another class from your balance. A class is only ever charged once, however many times you click Join.
How do class credits work?
You hold a balance of classes. Joining a class uses one. Clicking Join again for the same class never uses another. Every change to your balance is recorded, so you can always see what was added, what was used and why.
Is there a free demo class?
Yes. Send an enquiry and we will arrange one. There is no cost and no commitment.
What do you do with my child's information?
We keep as little as possible: a first name, a grade band if you give one, their classes, homework and progress. We do not ask for a date of birth or a school. We never use a child's information for advertising and there is no advertising tracking anywhere in a learner's dashboard or homework area.
Can I get my family's data deleted?
Yes. Email us and we will delete what we are not required to keep, and tell you plainly what we must keep and for how long.
How do I stop marketing emails?
Use the unsubscribe link in any marketing email, or just reply and ask. We will still send you the practical messages about your classes, because those are part of the service rather than marketing.
